Killarney Shines at the 2026 Gold Medal Awards

Killarney enjoyed outstanding success at the 2026 Gold Medal Awards for Hotels Ireland, held on 27 January 2026, with a strong showing from local businesses who are members of the Killarney Chamber of Tourism and Commerce.

Gold Awards were presented to several Killarney favourites. The O’Donoghue Ring Collection won Best Hotel Group, while the Europe Hotel & Spa was awarded Ireland’s Five-Star Spa Experience. The Killarney Avenue Hotel received Gold for their Front of House Team, and the Victoria Hotel Killarney claimed Gold for Ireland’s Best Boutique Hotel.

Killarney’s success continued with Silver Awards, including Ireland’s Casual Dining Experience for the Great Southern Hotel Killarney, Ireland’s Five-Star Casual Dining Experience for the Europe Hotel & Spa, and Ireland’s Four-Star Spa Experience for the Brehon Hotel.

Rounding off the evening, the Killarney Park Hotel received Bronze for Ireland’s Best Five-Star Hotel, completing an impressive night for the town.

These awards highlight the exceptional quality and dedication of Killarney’s hospitality sector and reinforce its position as one of Ireland’s leading tourism destinations.
